About Us

The Indian Society in Estonia blog was formed by Sachin Gaur and Gyaneshwer Chaubey in year 2008 to report activities of Indians living in Estonia and Europe, in a broader context. This society was helping Indian Cultural Association Estonia (ICAE) by covering its events and writing a blog on it. Since ICAE has its own wepage now, this blog is no more official blog of ICAE, rather it expand its horizon and start to cover cultural as well as Scientific activities of Indian Disapora. The Indian Society in Estonia is formed to make a bridge between the Indian and Estonian cultures. Indian Society in the Estonia promotes young cultural talent and innovative cultural projects. As a point of intersection between region and culture, the old-established society has been supporting the fine arts, Yoga, music and literature since 2001.

Some of the Cultural events organized by our society can be seen at YouTube

    • My name is Kumar Amit Mehta and i am currently staying in Bangalore,Karnataka. I’ve been admitted for Masters in Computer and Systems Engineering program at Tallinn University of technology ,Estonia starting from August 30, 2012 and I’m very excited about it, but as Embassy of Estonia is not here in India, hence I’m finding it difficult to get the correct information regarding the VISA process. Initially the representative at Embassy of Hungary asked me to apply for VISA under the category of “Residence permit VISA for the purpose of study” but later told me that they do not issue study VISA for ESTONIA and asked me to apply for short term(valid for 90 days only) VISA instead. But as the masters program is for a duration of two years, hence i am not sure how applying for a short term VISA will work for me. Therefore I request you to please help me by guiding me the procedures required to get the VISA for Estonia for the purpose of study. I’ll be ever thankful to you for your help.
